Environmental Stewardship

Sea Breeze designs its projects with a commitment to preserving and respecting the natural environment. Our projects will leave a minimal ecological footprint, so that we can produce truly green and renewable power for years to come. Well before construction takes place,we undertake comprehensive environmental studies and assessments to ensure that effects to the environment are minimized.

Regular consultation with government agencies that monitor environmental impacts is a key part of our work. We maintain continual dialogue with First Nations, community members, recreational and business groups and property owners near our developments to communicate our commitment to recognizing local interests as well as our own commitment to projects that meet the public preference for renewable, non-polluting power generation.

Leading the way in wind energy development in BC, Sea Breeze Power Corp. is the first BC wind energy company to be awarded an Environmental Assessment Certificate from the provincial government. This is significant as it puts us in the unique position of being among the first companies to develop wind farms in BC.
